Suitable candidates must have good working knowledge of networking principles (practical as well as theoretical), ideally including Intelligent Networks, Network Control & Management tools as well as the associated switches, routers etc. A sound understanding of databases (ideally SQL) is also essential, as is 3 years experience in a customer facing role, including exposure to both post & pre-sales support.
As well as excellent communication skills you will be self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively from home (possibly 2-3 days*week), some of which time you will use to further develop your technical expertise. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to delivering a service that will consistently exceed your client`s expectations.
Much of your work will include technical demonstrations on client`s sites and providing technical expertise at Sales presentations, hence the need to be well presented with outstanding people skills. You must also be adept enough to deal at all levels, from talking to your development team or with client`s engineers to supporting end users and demonstrating to board level directors.
Knowledge of our client`s specific products is not necessary since product training (initial & ongoing) will be provided, starting with 2 weeks at their R&D * Technical Centre overseas.
You will be working from home, with much of the work being in London * South East, but with considerable travel required throughout the UK and Ireland.
